All our pieces are made gold, silver or brass. All these materials except gold get tarnished, especially when exposed to heat, moisture, the skin's essential oils and even oxygen. This is a totally natural process. Brass specifically, will eventually turn the fingers green with wearing. This is normal. If you do not want this to happen or are allergic to this metal, please specify it with purchase. 

Although we give a good polish to all our pieces before shipping, they will tarnish with time, all because of the metals natural properties and reaction.  For us this is super cool because it gives each creation its own personality making them unique.

For maintenance you can polish it using a metal polish cloth or allow them to darken and age. For a deep clean and polish safe and naturally, place in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of baking soda and add lemon juice to form a paste. Apply the paste on brass, copper or silver: you can do it with soft cloth or sponge. Then remove and TA-DA!
